About me
Ms. Richardson is the Director of Diversity and Equity at SANDAG. She is responsible
for numerous programs, including the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
and Small Business (SB) Programs; Bench Programs for Architecture and
Engineering (A&E), Construction Management (CM), and Planning; Labor
Compliance; Title VI; and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Additionally, she
is responsible for the Community Benefits Agreement (CBA), which is a component
of the Workforce Opportunities for Rising Careers (WORC) program.
Ms. Richardson is widely recognized in the San Diego region for her advocacy,
ensuring equitable participation of small and diverse businesses in SANDAG's
procurement processes. Her efforts have received significant commendation,
including the 2020 Small Business Administration (SBA) Jill Andrews Advocacy
Award, in recognition of her exceptional support for small and diverse businesses
within the contracting arena.
Through various program initiatives, the Office of Diversity and Equity advocates for
disadvantaged communities, fosters the growth of small businesses, and develops
new workforce opportunities.
