Mo Shapiro serves as the Assistant, Operations & Strategic Sourcing for Clean Power Alliance of Southern California. In this role, they serve two primary functions: 1) providing executive assistance to the COO and 2) collaborating with the non-energy contracting manager to enhance solicitation processes and supplier diversity efforts. They co-facilitate CalCCA’s Supplier Diversity Working Group and CalCCA’s Equity Committee. Mo founded CPA's Pride ERG and organizes events to foster community amongst staff. They also volunteer for AWWEE's LA Events Planning Committee, and participate in the AWWEE Exchange Mentorship Program. Prior to working at CPA, Mo had a 10-year career in the entertainment industry and worked for several prolific production companies, including Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout (recent Star Trek shows) and Ron Howard’s Imagine Television (Genius, Under the Banner of Heaven). Mo received a bachelor’s degree in Cinema & Photography from Ithaca College.
